Born and educated in Belfast, Una is undoubtedly a true Northerner at heart.
However, after Art College in York Street the urge to see the world would inexorably kick in. Una has spent some time travelling in Australia and Asia, but is now well returned to the land of 'saints and scholars'. Having lived in various locations on the island, she is now firmly settled in cork, literally 'on the banks of the Lee'.

Previous exhibitions have focused in the main on 'Irish Rural' - typified by perhaps her best known work 'The Burren' which is part of the UTV collection. However, Una is adamant that a rich, seductive, but fertile 'Urban Mantle' beckons her attentions.

In her most recent exhibition at the Emer Gallery in March 2008 it was joyously embraced.!
