Neill Speers
Neill Speers was born in Bushmills. He was educated at Bushmills Grammar School and later attended Stranmillis College, Trinity College Dublin, and the University of Ulster. He became a senior lecturer in the English Department, Stranmillis College from where he moved to direct his own schools' Project 'Writing into Reading' aimed at providing schools in Northern Ireland with local materials across the Curriculum.
Neill's poems have been published in 'Fortnight' and 'Poetry Ireland.' His plays have been performed professionally on stage and on radio. His paintings are on exhibition in Galleries in Belfast and Dublin and other venues in Ireland.
