Welcome to the Emer Gallery

'Meet the Artist' - Noel Murphy

Noel Murphy remains as exciting an artist today as when the gallery first started exhibiting his work in the late 1980's.  From his early student days to the present, Murphy has remained one of the gallery's most fascinating artists, he forever continues to develop and push the boundaries of his talent.  With a solid following throughout Ireland, his work features prominently in some of the great modern collections of Irish art.  This is an extremely rare opportunity to engage with Noel about his work.  The artist will speak  at both 11.00 a.m and again at 1.00 p.m on Saturday, 6th February.

The Emer Gallery is one of Belfast's longest established Art Galleries having opened in the mid 80's and enjoys a wonderful reputation throughout the island of Ireland and beyond.  The gallery opened its present modern showroom on the Antrim Road some five years ago, which has recently been extended and refurbished.

Established gallery artists include J B Vallely, Noel Murphy, Comhghall Casey, Basil Blackshaw, Sasha Harding,  Jimmy Bingham, Vittorio Cirefice and more recently Tibor Cervenak and introducing John McAtamney.

We also carry a selection of works by 20th Century Belfast artists,  William Conor, Markey Robinson and Frank McKelvey.

Whether visiting us online or coming to the gallery, everyone is warmly welcome.
